Beyond the Vocation Desk

As most vocation directors will tell you our ministry takes us beyond that of the computer and the vocation desk. We are often called to visit elementary & high schools, colleges & universities, parishes, to make appearances or presentations for liturgies and convention events.

Attending such events are wonderfully time consuming and energizing for most of us. We meet new people and educate many on the calling of being a religious sister-- for both the old and young, the questions abound and people in general are glad to meet a 'sister' in the living breathing flesh.
We want to remind people that the path of religious life is a good track to tread, and how we express that can take on a variety of venues.

How that venue works for one may not work for another but flexibility is key and well the opportunities are endless. Want to know a sister? Can't make it to the monastery or convent? Well, maybe we can meet you on your familiar  friendly turf. Most dioceses offer opportunities to learn about vocations, have you checked it out?  Ask and you might be surprised at the response.

Here are some images from recent vocation events we have attended! Enjoy!
